FAQS

Who are you?   Just 3 mommas, & 1 helpful husband living in Washington State. (More details in "About Us")

Can I visit your shop?  We don't have a brick and mortar store and aren't set up properly to have you over.  We would love to someday, but for now, our shop is strictly online.

After I place my order, how long will it be until it ships?  Usually 1-2 business days.  If we are slammed, it could be 4-5 business days.  If you need it fast, please let us know!!

When will my fabric arrive?  Oh how we wish we knew!  In the US, First Class mail makes it almost everywhere in 3-4 days.  But sometimes it's longer.   Priority Mail is usually 2-3 days, but that's not guaranteed and sometimes, Priority Mail takes 4-5 days. (I've seen it more than a few times)  Express mail is usually overnight from when it ships, but it depends on when you order.  If you need fabric FAST, please write the shop first and make sure we can get it cut and packaged fast.  This isn't always the case, but we will try our best to meet your needs!!

What forms of payment do you accept? All our payments are processed through Paypal, so you can either pay with a Paypal account or use a Credit Card and pay as a "guest" through Paypal.  (Paypal will guide you through this process.)

Are all your fabrics listed in the "All Fabric A-Z" section?  For the most part, yes.  But sometimes, there will be items in the "What's New", "New Arrivals" or "Coming Soon" that aren't listed in the A-Z section.

Can we get in a fabric that is not shown in the shop or not made by one of our listed manufacturers?  Yes!  We often do that for our customers!  Just let us know what you need and we'll work on it!

Do you offer smaller than half yard cuts? At this time, we do not cut smaller than a half yard cut, except for our custom bundles.  Custom bundles may be offered as Fat Quarter (18"x22") bundles, but aren't always.  (Check that section to see what's available.)  We do offer pre-cuts (Fat Quarter Bundles, Design Rolls, Charm Packs, Layer Cakes, Hexies, etc) and will be expanding this area of our website in the months to come.

Do you offer gift certificates?  Yes, absolutely!  If you don't see the gift certificate on our website, please write the shop!  We'll guide you straight to the spot (ie send you the link).  Your wife/daughter/son/sister/husband/brother/aunt/grandma will LOVE you for this thoughtful gift!

How would you recommend washing your fabric?  The answer to this question is totally dependent on the fabric and the use. But in general, it's best to wash our fabrics in cold water. If you have a special situation that you'd like advice about, you can write us and we might have an answer!  We're most experienced with using our fabrics in quilts and they hold up very well to repeated washings and often get better, softer and more cuddly with age.  (Note:  all the fabric we carry is very high quality.)

Do you accept returns?  We want you to thrilled over your fabric purchase!  We stock only the highest quality fabrics, but sometimes the fabric comes with "pulls" or other small defects.  We make every effort to cut fabric without defects, but we are also processing tons of orders every day and miss small defects from time to time.   We also understand that sometimes a color of a fabric might look different on your screen than it actually is in real life and that it might not work for your project.  For these reasons, or any others, please write us to let us know!  You can write us at whimsyquilts@gmail.com or you use the "Contact Us" feature found at the top of the website.  If you'd like to return your order, we will take back full price orders of yardage, in its original and unwashed condition.  We will refund you for your order, less a 20% restocking fee.

Will you consider carrying this fabric that I printed myself after weaving it myself on some small island off the coast of somewhere far far away?  Most likely not, but we sincerely hope you find someone to sell it for you!

Do you really get asked that question above? All the time
